Nestled just off Bromyard’s charming main street, Cosy Cafe is a delightful coffee shop that perfectly captures the essence of local warmth and quality. This unassuming gem, located at 2 Cruxwell St, offers more than just a quick caffeine fix—it’s a sanctuary for those seeking hearty breakfasts, freshly crafted paninis, and friendly conversation in a relaxed, dog-friendly environment.
The breakfast menu truly shines, featuring the classic Full English Breakfast (£11.50) that boasts locally sourced, top-quality ingredients—imagine succulent sausages, tender mushrooms cooked to perfection, and rich, satisfying eggs that greet your morning with comfort and indulgence. For lighter appetites or plant-based diners, the Vegetarian Breakfast (£7.50) and avocado options deliver vibrant, fresh flavors that feel nourishing and energizing. The elegantly composed Eggs Benedict (£8.00) adds a touch of refinement to the morning, delighting with perfectly poached eggs dripping with creamy hollandaise.
Cosy Cafe’s paninis are equally tempting, crafted with care and bursting with flavor. The Dry Cured Bacon, Brie and Cranberry panini marries smoky and sweet notes beautifully, while the Chicken, Chorizo, Mozzarella, Chilli Jam and Rocket option offers a spicy, savory punch that keeps patrons coming back for more. For those who prefer lighter, fresh fillings, there’s the zingy Tomato, Mozzarella, Pesto and Rocket panini or the wholesome Mature Cheddar Cheese and Red Onion.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere at Cosy Cafe feels like stepping into a warm, welcoming living room. It’s small enough to feel intimate yet spacious enough to enjoy a comfortable, unrushed meal. The friendly staff go above and beyond to ensure every visit is memorable, fostering a happy, relaxed vibe that customers like Ruth Wilson and Angela Revell rave about. The cafe’s commitment to supporting local producers is clear, with menus proudly highlighting the source of their fresh, quality ingredients—a detail that makes every bite taste that much better.

"You had me a cake, but I stayed for breakfast" - the sight of two ladies clearly enjoying a late morning coffee&cake encouraged me to try "Cosy cafe" - however as breakfast was still available that's what I had. Top quality ingredients - locally sourced I believe - loved the sausage. Fresh mushrooms properly cooked (which is often not a guarantee) and tinned tomato (which is very much my preference). Coffee was great and the price was appropriate for the location. Great. I'll be back.

My partner & I visited this little cafe when looking around the village on our holiday (21/02/24) due to being recommended by one of the shop owners. The staff are very nice and welcoming, the place is quite small but you have plenty of room to move around and don't feel crowded. The food is all fresh and the menu has the names of the local businesses/ farmers they use which is very nice to see. The prices are very good for what you get. If we are in the area again we will definitely visit again.
